Coexist | The XX
Coexist | The XX
The xx exist in a time and space of their own making. In 2009 the south London trios debut album XX, quietly made at night over the course of two years, bled steadily into the public consciousness to become shorthand for newly refined ideas of teenage desire and anxiety. Articulated with a maturity beyond their years, it's hallmarks were restraint and ambiguity. In the age of the over-share, XX was pop with it's privacy settings on max. Three years later, Romy Madley Croft, Oliver Sim and Jamie Smith are back with a new album, COEXIST, and a new perspective. Where xx lent in close to whisper in your ear, COEXIST gazes warmly in your eyes. Much has happened to lead to this point: most pertinently, they've grown up.Tracklist:AngelsChainedFictionTryReunionSunsetMissingTidesUnfoldSwept AwayOur Song

Listen Without Prejudice 25 | George Michael
Listen Without Prejudice 25 | George Michael
Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1 is the second solo studio album by the English singer George Michael, originally released on 3 September 1990. The album was Michael's final album of all-new material on Columbia Records until 2004's Patience. After the massive success of Michael's 1987 Faith album, the expectations for his follow-up album were also high. In September 1990, Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1 was a stark departure from the previous LP, with largely acoustic instrumentation and a somber intensity in many of the lyrics and melodies. George Michael wanted to be taken more seriously as a songwriter, which resulted in a more thoughtful, often moody recording. The album peaked at #2 on the US Billboard 200 chart.Tracklist:Disc/Side1Praying for TimeFreedom!
