Los Angeles Forum 1969 (2 Discs) | Jimi Hendrix Experience
Double vinyl LP pressing in gatefold jacket. Live At The L.A. Forum presents an extraordinary April 1969 performance by the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Before a raucous, sold-out house, Hendrix, drummer Mitch Mitchell and bassist Noel Redding tore through a unique set featuring highlights such as "I Don't Live Today," "Purple Haze," "Red House,"and an astonishing medley of "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" and Cream's "Sunshine Of Your Love". This pristine recording, newly mixed by Hendrix's longtime engineer Eddie Kramer, captures the original Jimi Hendrix Experience in their unrivaled, peak form. Live At Berkeley The Jimi Hendrix Experience (2 Discs) | Jimi Hendrix
In the aftermath of the BAND OF GYPSYS, Jimi Hendrix looked to refocus his career and meet the challenges of a new decade. The powerful impact that Jimi's appearances at both Monterey Pop and Woodstock had created had not been lost and Berkeley had developed as a flash point in the heated battle over the Vietnam War and other emerging social and political issues. Hendrix had filled the spacious, nearby Oakland Coliseum the previous year and could have easily done so again, but elected for the more intimate theater setting as the venue. All of the available tickets for both shows were quickly snapped up and on the evening of the concerts, more than a thousand empty-handed fans were turned away. Tensions between patrons, venue security, local police, and those without tickets escalated. Ensconced safely backstage, Jimi was unaware of the turbulence that surrounded the building. The sold out house roared it's approval as Jimi and the Experience took the stage. Jimi prefaced the concert wi…

Twentysomething (20th Anniversary) (2 Discs) | Jamie Cullum
Double vinyl LP pressing. To mark the 20th anniversary of Jamie Cullum's most successful album, Decca and Universal Music Recordings are making his 2003 album 'Twentysomething' available on vinyl for the very first time. It features the original album across three sides with a selection of non-album tracks, and session recordings on the fourth side. Originally released in the UK on 20 October 2003, 'Twentysomething' was Jamie's first release on the UCJ imprint in the UK and on Verve in the US. On release, respected Jazz critic John Fordham (writing in The Guardian) said, 'Cullum's virtues are a remarkable relaxation (which makes music-making, even in a sophisticated studio recording, sound like fun to him), a youthful bounce that makes his work engagingly airy and light, and a hipness of timing that marks him out from many of his competitors'.Tracklist:Disc/Side 1What a Difference a Day MadeThese Are the DaysSingin' in the RainTwentysomethingBut for NowDisc/Side 2 Old Devil MoonI Could…

Lonerism (Reissue) (2 Discs) | Tame Impala
Double vinyl LP pressing. 2012 release from the Australian Alt-Psych rockers. Kevin Parker (vocals/guitar) and Dominic Simper (bass) formed Tame Impala as 13-year-olds in Perth in 1999, sticking to bedroom recordings until 2007, when Jay Watson joined them on drums and backing vocals. Their sound was pure late '60s, but wasn't the sound of any specific band from the era. They were as likely to be channeling the Nazz as the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Cocooned away inside walls of Psychedelic Fuzz in Western Australia they re-created their preferred period one song at a time with the aid of gear and production techniques that sounded like they hadn't been dusted off since 1968.Tracklist:Disc/Side 1Be Above ItEndors ToiApocalypse DreamsMind MischiefMusic to Walk Home ByWhy Won't They Talk to Me?Disc/Side 2 Feels Like We Only Go BackwardsKeep on LyingElephantShe Just Won't Believe MeNothing That Has Happened So Far Has Been Anything We Could ControlSun's Coming Up
