Yamaha has a long tradition with acoustic and classical guitars. An entire section of it`s catalog is dedicated solely to the classical guitars i both the acoustic and acoustic-electric variants. Models offered range from beginners models to hand-made top quality guitars. CG142S is situated within the CG series and it comes with non-cutaway design. Back and side panels on this model are made of nato wood, while the top is made of spruce. Top panel is decorated with natural binding and high gloss finish. In the bridge section Yamaha installs a standard shaped bridge made of rosewood. Neck is made of nato wood and it comes with a dovetail joint. Fingerboard is made of rosewood and it is equipped with 19 frets, flat radius and 2.08" wide synthetic bone string nut.
