The safety starter is fast and reliable, best suited for igniting fluorescent lamps. They have an electromagnetic ballast 2-pin igniter in a plastic canister and a radio-interference suppression capacitor. It operates with 2x2ft luminaires. The safety starter can operate with a pulse voltage of 800V minimum and a non-reclosure voltage of 70V minimum.
